Tina Desiderato, Owner

I’m a certified independent interior designer. I grew up helping my Dad in his construction business. My dad was color-blind, so assisting his customers in selections proved challenging: that became my job! He discovered quickly that I could also use a calculator, so payroll and book-keeping became part of my role as well. We are from Italy, so child-labor laws weren’t recognized or enforced. LOL

However, work-ethic and customer service was deeply ingrained from a very young age. After high school, I pursued my education in medical administration, worked for 15 years before deciding that I needed to follow my heart and go back to school for my design degree. I'm a proud graduate of The New York Institute of Art and Design. It wasn’t an easy road for a single Mom, going back to school and working, but that decision proved to be one of the best I’ve made to date.

I’m passionate about helping the clients I work for, it’s about them, first and foremost. Learning about their lifestyles, likes and dislikes helps me create a timeless, well-designed space for them to enjoy for years to come! For me, my clients are the heart of the creative process. I work closely with them to ensure that I’m able to capture their ideas and visions to ensure that each project is seamlessly executed and beautifully finished.

I live with my two amazing children, Jake (17) and Lena (15). Both dedicated students, Jake is a proud cadet in the JROTC program and has aspirations of acceptance into the Air Force Academy. Lena is a competitive dancer with a renown dance school. I’ve raised my children up to follow their dreams and passions and not to follow money or status because when you’re truly passionate about what you do, it shows in both your attitude and your product. My philosophy is simple: When you LOVE what you do, you EXCEL at it! When you EXCEL, you succeed!

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, cooking and spending quality time with my family, pets and friends.
